I’ve decided to do an ongoing series of animal-foods. So far I’ve been calling them Food Pets.

Food Pets is a really boring name though. Maybe I can come up with something more fun. Stay tuned for any name-changing.

Even though I’ve only done cats so far, rest assured I can do other animals too! Dogs .. birds … snakes … horses .. etc. The combination possibilities are pretty much endless.

I’ve been working on this, on and off, for a couple of months. Since December I believe. It is a gift / kind of a commission for a much loved friend. This is probably one of my best paintings yet. I definitely had some inspiration and help from Wreck it Ralph too ;)

Apparently this is a thing we’re doing now. In March.

We were enjoying a lovely Saturday, yesterday. It was warm enough for a thin sweater, and wearing boat-shoes sockless. Spring was just on the cusp of beginning. Now the central Ohio landscape has suddenly and inexplicably been blanketed with a thin, wet layer of snow.

Oh Ohio, when will your mischievous antics come to an end? (The answer is never. Ohio will never stop being a butt).
